Celebrities including Tosyn Bucknor, M.I, Lami Philips, Niyola and Vector on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 joined friends and family members to honour the late Irawo Adamolekun who was shot dead last week in Lagos.
The candle light session held at the Military hospital, Lagos in Adamolekun’s honour kicked off at exactly 6pm with worship songs followed by a short speech from the deceased’s sister, Ojia. In her speech, she thanked all present and advised that caution be taken at certain situations, ‘Don’t pity me, it is you all I pity because there is still much to be done’, she said.
The talk was followed by a 2 hour walk to Falomo and back with most dressed in black and bearing lit candle sticks.
Dr. Adamolekun, 27, was shot dead on Friday, January 11, 2013 while driving along Anthony road, in Lagos.
